AGI leads the industry with its Safety 1st Policy and is very proud to be accident-free for the past 1,000,000 man hours. The United States Army Corps of Engineers has applauded AGI for their excellence on their strict adherence to safety programs and the EM385-1-1.

It is the policy of AGI to provide a safe environment for its employees and subcontractors. As a team, our mission is zero accidents. On-site basics require head, eye, and foot protection, long pants, shirts with sleeves, and safety vests (where applicable). AGI insures that no person employed on any project, work in surroundings or under conditions that are unsanitary, hazardous or dangerous to her/his health or safety. All construction areas are designated "Hard Hat Areas" and warning signs are posted at the Field Offices and all entry points. Safety inspections are continually conducted daily by Safety Representatives and/or by additional AGI employees designated by the Safety Representative. It is the policy of AGI that all individuals whose alertness or abilities are impaired because of drug use, intoxication, fatigue, illness or other conditions are not allowed on site.

All personnel must check-in with the site supervisor or safety officer before entering the work area. Safety meetings are held once a week and are mandatory. Hard hats, steel-toed/safety shoes and other forms of personal protective equipment are also mandatory.
